Uncle Joey, west coast edition.

Days 12-16

Nothing is more finer than being in Boise in the morrnnning.. or at sunset. I’m a sucker for a Boise sunset. Andrew, Kathy, Daniel and Sarah are my east coast family on mountain time.

The great thing about Boise is location. Everyone is so active. You can bike, run and swim. You can ski in the winter, motorbike in the summer and play football on blue turf. Thursday was spent hanging at home and a lovely walk down to The Stil. You can get beer and ice cream flights! They also have alcohol infused ice cream. Amazing!!!

We visited Thorn Creek Butte one lovely afternoon. It is about an hour north of the city. There is a fire watch tower and the fire watch was on watch…. He let us up on the tower and had some amazing views of the mountains. Andrew and I also took a drive along one of the ridges above the city. I always think when I visit how Raleigh would be if you could just drive up a butte and look down.

Sunday was off to Silver City. There’s silver up in them hills. Well they might of. The road was full of crickets. When I say full of crickets, it was full of crickets. I’ll leave it to your imagination. It was a great spot for motorbikes and atv’s. If I lived there, I would have a side by side for a second car in a heartbeat.

Sadly it was time to go. My time playing Barbie’s and racing games had come to an end. We had a pool party by the racetrack. Malibu Stacy might of had one too many drinks and ended up with Scuba Steve. He won the race and was celebrating with Ken his crew chief. Shirley came in second in a photo finish. I said my so long’s and headed west. Time to hit the ocean for buried pirate treasure.
