2012 starts a tradition with a group of my friends. New Orleans. The Final Four! I was going through chemo treatments. We had to fly in and out of Jackson, Mississippi. Michelle was in Florida then and met us there. Dave came with me, Danielle and Mel met us a day or so later.
We were able to grab tickets as we got there on Saturday. Landed that day and went to right to the Superdome. On the way down, I started getting a crazy rash. That rash stayed with me the whole trip. When we got back home, my oncologist was ready to admit me but we just had the weekend of our lives.
Michelle and I have been going for the last ten years. It’s our annual trip. After New Orleans it was Atlanta, Dallas, Indy, Houston, Phoenix, San Antonio & Minneapolis. 2020 canceled for covid and we didn’t go to Indy last year since it was kinda “put together”. Some trips was just us, others Dave joined or other friends from around the country.
This year we’re back, Dave & Kev + all of our friends we’ve met through Basketball. Looking for tickets but we’ll work that out and who would of thought it would be the Final Four of Final Fours. Coach K’s last weekend & finally the Duke / UNC matchup and wait for it, it’s in a final four.
Michelle she’s there. She laughing this one up. She would be so wicked excited today and saying it’s all back to the start.
