9 trips around the sun

As I’m sitting in a bar in Boise, 9 years ago yesterday I was getting stem cells. I was looking for a long ball into center. I got that long ball and now I’m here typing about it.

I’ve been wondering when I would type on here again. After dinner with Andrew’s kids and some of his cycling friends at 10 barrel, I’m around the corner drinking Busch Light “cause I like cheep beer” and leaving tomorrow with Andrew to visit the Gorge, the pilgrimage of any true Dave Matthews Band Fan

Michelle’s here. She’s always here. We talked last year about going. Who would of thought she would no longer be with us 3 months later but we had 5 great shows that summer. We talked of the Gorge but I’m glad she’s didn’t make it. It would of been too much and she’s already been though the ringer

Fuck cancer. Fuck it hard. Kathy, my my dear friend dealing with Covid this weekend knitted me the most amazing toboggan, says Fuck Cancer and she’s so smart she made the ball on top of the beany “toboggan” removable incase I wanted to wear my hat in a cuss free environment. Thx you my dear friend. You are the light of Boise. Which by the way, she got people’s choice and a blue ribbon for some mittens she submitted to the Western Idaho Fair. She’s a big deal.

So as I reflect on turning 9 yesterday, the 30th of August, I’m always grateful to Conner for the stem cells. Everyday is another memory and I wouldn’t of had and I won’t change a thing. We all have our roll. I might of had mine but I will continue to live each day as house money and I encourage you to take that new job, eat that apple, show up at that persons house for wine out of the blue and the juice is always worth the squeeze.
